An inky, dark ruby in the glass bringing aromas of smoke, forest floor and grilled stone fruit. Deep and velvety texture, harnessed by an earthy mineral, chocolate and red berry expression.
The 2012 season was a long sunny year, with normal rainfall amounts during the winter months and mild wind during bloom-time. Warm temperatures starting in mid-July and continuing through early October helped ripen the robust crop. Clone 116, planted 1996-1998.
